Cold process soap is traditionally handcrafted by combining oils and butters with lye through a process called saponification. The soap is then cut and cured for several weeks, allowing it to develop its final hardness, texture, and mildness.

Yes. When properly formulated and fully cured, the lye reacts with the oils during saponification and is no longer present as active lye in the finished soap. Lavika soaps are formulated and cured before they are ready to use.

Our soaps are designed to provide a gentle cleansing experience, but everyone's skin is different. If you have particularly sensitive or reactive skin, we recommend checking the ingredients and choosing a fragrance-free or suitable variant where available.

Because Lavika soaps are handcrafted in small batches, slight variations in colour, texture, shape, or natural markings are normal. These subtle differences are part of the character of a handmade soap and do not affect its quality.

Each Lavika soap is thoughtfully formulated with a specific scent and bathing experience in mind. Essential oils are plant-derived aromatic extracts, while fragrance oils are specially formulated blends created to achieve particular scents and performance.

We choose between them based on the soap’s formulation, desired fragrance profile, skin feel, and scent longevity. Both can be used safely in soap when properly formulated at appropriate usage levels.

Keep your soap dry between uses. Place it on a well-draining soap dish or soap rack, away from standing water. Allowing the bar to dry properly between uses will help prevent it from becoming soft and extend its life.

Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 3-5 business days. Once dispatched, delivery typically takes  5-10 business days, depending on your location and courier service. You’ll receive tracking details once order is shipped.

Yes, we offer free shipping on orders above ₹999. For orders below the free-shipping threshold, applicable shipping charges will be displayed at checkout.
